Now for transitioning to the nourishing phase

You will be checking the pulse. It should go from thin or soft to become more full.

If the pulse was slippery and rapid and then becomes soft and weak and the progress begins to slow then consider adding “Sol” during the transition phase between the attacking strategy and the nourishing phase. Sol provides a beautiful pivot.

Their main complaints and signs begin to diminish and they have hit a plateau.

They will yawn easier than they sigh.

Their symptoms will begin to feel worse after bowel movements rather than better

They will enjoy the feeling of pressure on their abdomen.

Sometimes Jin Zhao will use “Wind” or “Peak” tea combined with “lift” in order to give the respiratory microbiome more support after the microbiome is relatively balanced.

They are taking Peak tea, microgard plus+ Warm Hearth
If you are focussing on nourishing the microbiome then add Lift to peak tea or wind tea.

If you want to focus on enlightening the gut-brain axis and opening the heart then add “Sol” To ”Warm Hearth”. If you want to focus on supporting and strengthening the urogenital microbiome then add “Sol” to “Aquada”.

Example 1

This is pared down, rapid fire like Jin Zhao does it to get you the main idea. You will likely need to speak more to a patient to develop compliance, but by focussing on the key questions that matter the most it will make your job much easier.

Do you have to remind yourself to drink? No!

Appetite for health foods? Good!

Urine yellow? Sweating or yeast infection?:  Yes

This is a less common case in older women, but possible. You tend to see this when they bring in their daughters for treatment. In this simple scenario you will use microgard plus and aquada. Why microgard plus if she says her diet is great? Because her idea of healthy is still consuming cold and damp foods. Using them together will make the process go much faster. If you further want to power it up use “Warm Hearth” tea as well.

Example 2

You need to remind yourself to drink? Yes

Crave healthy food in proportion to your exercise? No

Stools? Loose and sometimes normal

Urine? Yellow

Wind tea + Microgard Plus+ Warm Hearth+ Aqua

Example 3

Do you need to remind yourself to drink? No = +Peak Tea

Do you crave healthy foods? No  (Stools not sheeplike) =+Microgard Plus + Warm Hearth Tea

Urine? Clear Sweating? yeast infections? no, no, no.

Total: Peak tea+Microgard Plus+ Warm Hearth

Long term care

In the long run they will keep “Microgard Plus” around for when they eat something they shouldn’t have and they will have “Lift” on hand to power themselves up. they will also have “Sol” tea on hand for when they feel they are getting a cold.

For cases of acute rhinitis or if they are getting a cold then Microgard Plus, wind, and Sol tea will help get rid of it quickly.

Pivoting Fullness to Emptiness:

From more warming and damp removing to more nourishing.

Warm hearth (Er Chen Er Zhu with huo xiang)

Sol (Ling gui zhu gan)

Lift (Bu zhong yi qi)

Overview

Respiratory Microbiome:

Fullness

Warm Hearth (Er Chen Er Zhu with Huo Xiang): Warms and clears mucus, biofilms, and other obstructions in the upper respiratory microbiome.

Wind (Xiao Chai Hu + San Ren Tang): Removes damp and harmonizes shaoyang, modulates immune factors, more antiviral.

Peak (San Ren Tang with Yin Chen and Chai Hu): Like wind, but cooler for more heat signs.

GI Microbiome

Microgard plus as a base formula

Microgard regular with small, sheeplike stools.

Stack GI and Respiratory Microbiome formulas

Urogenital Microbiome

Aquada (Er Miao Wan) with signs of heat. If heat is severe combine with Peak and Micrgard regular.

For signs of cold damp combine with Wind/Warm Hearth/Microgard Plus/
